Zachary Cloutier dies in fatal Lancaster County car crash

Fatal Lancaster County car crash death of Zachary Cloutier – Obituary

Zachary Cloutier, a 20-year-old Grand Island resident, has been identified as the individual who lost his life in a collision north of Lincoln early Tuesday morning, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Authorities say the crash took place around 2:45 a.m. as Cloutier was driving on Highway 79. For reasons still under investigation, he reportedly veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a semi-truck. Cloutier, who was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was declared dead at the scene.

 

Officials confirmed that Cloutier had been under the influence of synthetic marijuana, and several vape pens were recovered from his vehicle. An autopsy has been ordered to gather additional details.

 

Law enforcement indicated that no charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
