Astrid Feliciano-Gonzalez dies in fatal Milwaukee shooting

Fatal Milwaukee shooting death of Astrid Feliciano-Gonzalez – Obituary

Astrid Feliciano-Gonzalez, 30, was shot and killed at her Milwaukee home on May 5 in what authorities describe as a premeditated act. According to court records, Janice Ramos, 29, has been arrested and charged with intentional homicide in connection to the incident.

Prosecutors allege that Ramos orchestrated a plan to lure the victim’s boyfriend, who is also the father of Ramos’s child, out of the house by faking a medical emergency. After he left, Ramos reportedly waited near the home for roughly 14 minutes before shooting Feliciano-Gonzalez as she stood in her doorway on Amy Place near 17th and Burnham streets.

Feliciano-Gonzalez’s body was not discovered until the next day, nearly 20 hours later, after a neighbor called 911 to report that her young children were outside the home unclothed. Responding officers found her 4-year-old holding four spent .45 caliber shell casings. Inside, Feliciano-Gonzalez was discovered unresponsive and bleeding just behind the door.

Surveillance footage obtained by investigators appears to show Ramos arriving at the house with another individual. Both individuals had their heads covered, and one was wearing gloves. Ramos later told police that her intention was only to talk to Feliciano-Gonzalez, and claimed it was the other person who pulled the trigger.

Police have not confirmed whether they are pursuing the second suspect. Ramos remains in custody with bail set at $100,000.
