Fatal Baltimore County car crash death of Devin Frink – Obituary
Maryland State Police have confirmed that 36-year-old Devin Frink of Baltimore was the driver killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Baltimore Beltway last month, a tragedy that also claimed the lives of two young girls.
Frink, who was reportedly the uncle of one of the victims, was behind the wheel when the Jeep Wrangler he was driving crashed into a tree and caught fire near the southbound exit to I-83 from I-695 around 11 p.m. on April 5. Both children, later identified as Bailee Brooks and Serenity Gross, were 9 years old and attended Lutherville Laboratory.
According to officials, the incident began when a state trooper attempted to pull Frink over for swerving out of his lane. Police said Frink did not stop, but the trooper did not pursue and instead returned to regular traffic. Moments later, the trooper came upon the vehicle in flames at the crash site.
Authorities stated that the cause of the crash remains unclear, as Frink lost control of the SUV for reasons still under investigation. It is also unknown why Frink fled the initial stop.
The family of Bailee Brooks is being represented by attorney Thiru Vignarajah and has requested that the police release footage from dashboard and body cameras related to the traffic stop.
