Lindsey Webster, a 24-year-old resident of Alice, Texas, lost her life early Wednesday morning in a crash in Jim Wells County. Authorities say the collision occurred at the junction of FM 2044 and U.S. Highway 281.

According to Texas Highway Patrol, Webster was driving a Kia Sorento and failed to stop at a posted sign. Her vehicle entered the intersection and was hit on the driver’s side by an oncoming truck tractor. The impact proved fatal, and Webster was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the crash happened just north of Alice. Local troopers from the Highway Patrol Office in Alice continue to investigate the incident to determine the full sequence of events.
