Fatal Kansas City gas station shooting death of Matin Nunley – Obituary

Matin Nunley, a 16-year-old boy, was shot and killed following a confrontation at a gas station in Kansas City, Missouri, on Wednesday afternoon, May 14, 2025.

Police responded shortly after 2 p.m. to the 8400 block of East 63rd Street for reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers were directed to the parking lot of World’s Liquor & Tobacco, where they found Nunley suffering from gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders from Raytown transported the teenager to a nearby hospital, but he was later pronounced dead. Authorities believe that a dispute among several individuals in the parking lot escalated into gunfire, resulting in Nunley’s death.
