Narlon Portis dies in fatal Akron stabbing

Fatal Akron stabbing death of Narlon Portis – Obituary

Narlon Portis, a 52-year-old resident of Akron, was fatally stabbed on May 10 near Sand Run Metro Park.

Authorities responded to a call about a stabbing in the 1600 block of Cromwell Drive around 8 p.m., where they found Portis with severe injuries. He was rushed to Cleveland Clinic Akron General but was pronounced dead shortly after at 9:13 p.m.

The suspect, believed to be known to Portis, fled the scene and remains at large. Akron Police continue to investigate the case and are seeking any information from the public.
