Robert Agu dies in fatal Oklahoma City shooting

Fatal Oklahoma City shooting death of Robert Agu – Obituary

Oklahoma City authorities are investigating the shooting death of 40-year-old Robert Agu, a security guard who was found dead in his vehicle Tuesday evening while on patrol at an abandoned apartment complex in the city’s southwest area.

According to police, Agu, a Marine veteran and father of two, had not moved his patrol car for an extended period. His employer became concerned when he failed to respond to repeated calls, prompting dispatch to notify law enforcement.

Officers arrived to perform a welfare check and discovered Agu deceased in his car, having suffered gunshot wounds.

Family members said Agu’s wife was the first to sense something was wrong after he stopped answering her phone calls. They described him as a dedicated professional who took pride in his security job and was deeply committed to providing for his young family.

Investigators have yet to identify a suspect or make any arrests, but police are urging anyone with information to come forward. The Oklahoma City Police Department has asked the public to contact the Homicide Tip Line or CrimeStoppers with any leads.

Agu’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral and burial expenses as they seek justice and closure.
