Jalen Wright dies in fatal Greenville car crash

Fatal Greenville car crash death of Jalen Wright – Obituary

Jalen Wright, a 24-year-old Greenville resident, lost his life in a car crash that occurred Wednesday evening on SW Greenville Boulevard. According to police, the collision took place just before 7 p.m. in the 1700 block of the roadway.

 

Authorities say Wright had just exited the parking lot of a Family Dollar store when another vehicle struck his car. Wright was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Investigators revealed that the second vehicle was traveling at high speed and was improperly using the center turn lane to pass other vehicles. It reportedly had just merged into the flow of traffic when the impact happened.

 

Three individuals from the second vehicle were taken to ECU Health Medical Center, suffering injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

 

Police say the crash remains under investigation and that charges against the other driver are expected.
