Fernando Ortiz dies in fatal Spartanburg County motorcycle crash

Fatal Spartanburg County motorcycle crash death of Fernando Ortiz – Obituary

Fernando Ortiz, 30, of Spartanburg, lost his life Saturday night in a motorcycle accident along John B. White Sr. Boulevard, close to Ammons Road. Authorities from the Spartanburg Police Department stated that Ortiz was heading east when he lost control while navigating a curve, resulting in a collision with a power-phone wire pole. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene at 11:13 p.m.

Both the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office and the Spartanburg Police Department are actively looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
