Fatal Angola crash death of Perry Vance – Obituary

Perry Vance, a 48-year-old resident of Millsboro, was killed early Friday morning, May 16, in a vehicle collision near Angola, according to Delaware State Police.

Vance was driving a Nissan Sentra south on Hollymount Road shortly before 6 a.m. when his vehicle veered off the roadway and entered the northbound shoulder. At the time, two commercial flatbed trailers were parked on the shoulder with orange reflective cones placed alongside them.

For reasons still under investigation, the Sentra struck one of the parked trailers, which caused it to collide with a second trailer positioned nearby. The crash led to significant damage and resulted in Vance’s death.

Authorities closed Hollymount Road for over three hours while the scene was processed and cleared. The Delaware State Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to reach out to them or contact Delaware Crime Stoppers.
