Fatal Neoga, Illinois car crash death of Alan and Marianne Moorman – Obituary

Alan Moorman, 77, and his wife Marianne Moorman, 72, both residents of Florida, were tragically killed in a traffic collision that occurred on Interstate 57 in Neoga, Illinois. The crash took place on Saturday near milepost 177, close to U.S. Route 45.

Authorities report that a passenger vehicle veered from the southbound side of I-57 into the northbound lanes and collided with a semi-truck. Following the impact, the vehicle caught fire and was fully engulfed in flames. The couple inside did not survive the crash.

Jennifer Phipps, the Cumberland County Coroner, confirmed their identities and indicated that autopsies were scheduled early in the following week. The Illinois State Police, along with the Cumberland County Coroner’s Office, continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
