Fatal Andover car crash death of Alice Marie Stack – Obituary

Alice Marie Stack, 74, lost her life following a car crash in Andover on Friday evening, May 16. Authorities say the collision occurred at approximately 5:44 p.m. near 165th and Seventh avenues northwest, prompting a response from the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, Andover Fire Department, Anoka Police, and Allina EMS.

 

Investigators determined that a westbound pickup truck collided with an SUV heading southbound, driven by Stack. She was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead on May 18.

 

The man behind the wheel of the pickup allegedly fled on foot into a wooded area after the crash. He was later located and taken into custody.

 

The driver, 48-year-old Aloysius Kenneth Johnson, has been charged with criminal vehicular homicide in Anoka County District Court as of Monday, May 19.

 

Police discovered both a black 2019 Ford F-350 and a Kia Soul in a ditch near the crash site. Witnesses reported seeing a man with ginger hair and a black T-shirt stumbling away from the Ford truck. Damage to multiple traffic signs and a light pole was also documented.

 

Johnson was found walking along Valley Drive Northwest, showing visible signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, unsteady movement, and the smell of alcohol. Officers also noted dried blood on his
