Fatal Gwinnett County shooting death of Jaishawn Overstreet – Obituary

Sixteen-year-old Jaishawn Overstreet was shot and killed in April 2024 at an apartment complex in Gainesville, Georgia. Authorities have now named an 18-year-old suspect, Kyland Rochod Williams of Monroe, as the third individual connected to the teen’s death.

According to Gainesville police, Williams has evaded arrest since the shooting and is currently wanted on multiple charges, including malice murder, felony murder, and aggravated assault. His identification follows the earlier arrests of two other suspects, Quaran Jackson and Ja’quez Sims. Jackson faces charges of murder and aggravated assault, while Sims is charged with malice murder, felony murder, and aggravated assault.

Police urge anyone with information about Williams’ whereabouts to contact emergency services immediately. The investigation is still active and further updates are expected.
