Fatal Brandywine ATV crash death of Jose Arias Castro – Obituary

Jose Arias Castro, a 35-year-old man from Fairfax, Virginia, died after his ATV collided with a pickup truck in Brandywine, Maryland, on the evening of Saturday, May 17, according to police.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Dyson Road and Missouri Avenue. Officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department arrived to find Castro and a female passenger with severe injuries.

Castro was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The woman who was with him remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Investigators believe the ATV struck the side of a pickup truck that was towing a trailer. The driver and occupants of the truck were not injured in the incident.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is handling the ongoing investigation.
