Steven E. Kooser dies in fatal Hempfield car crash

Fatal Hempfield car crash death of Steven E. Kooser – Obituary

Steven E. Kooser, a 53-year-old man from Connellsville, lost his life in a crash on Toll Route 66 in Hempfield Township, state police reported.

The incident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday near mile marker 3.2. According to authorities, Kooser was driving a Honda CRV southbound when the vehicle veered off the right shoulder, crossed both southbound lanes, continued through the median, and then went across the northbound lanes before colliding with a guardrail.

As of Tuesday, the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office had not released additional details about the case.

Kooser worked as a consultant for Tupperware and is remembered by three siblings, a companion, and several other family members.
