Fatal Flower Hill pedestrian accident death of Nathan Ha – Obituary

Nathan Ha, a 12-year-old boy from Flower Hill, New York, tragically died after being struck by a pickup truck while crossing Middle Neck Road on the evening of Monday, May 19, 2025. The incident occurred around 6:38 p.m. near the intersection with Northern Boulevard.

According to Nassau County police, Nathan was crossing the road outside of a designated crosswalk when he was hit by a northbound 2023 Ford pickup truck driven by an 18-year-old man. Emergency services transported Nathan to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Nathan was a seventh-grade student at Roslyn Middle School. In a statement, Superintendent Allison Brown expressed deep sorrow over the loss, noting that crisis team members and school staff would be available to support students and families during this difficult time.

The tragic accident has deeply affected the Flower Hill and Roslyn communities, as they mourn the loss of a young life taken too soon.
