Fatal Gloucester County, New Jersey car crash death of Juan Carlos Munguia-Palma – Obituary
Juan Carlos Munguia-Palma, 19, of Hyattsville, Maryland, was one of two teenagers who lost their lives in a single-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike early Sunday morning in Gloucester County. The accident occurred north of Exit 2 in Harrison around 1:05 a.m., according to State Police.
Authorities say Munguia-Palma was a passenger in an SUV traveling north when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and crash into a tree after descending an embankment. Out of the six individuals in the vehicle, four were ejected upon impact.
The other fatality was a 14-year-old boy, also from Hyattsville, Maryland. The SUV’s driver and two other passengers sustained serious injuries, while a fifth passenger suffered moderate injuries. All injured individuals remain in stable condition as of Wednesday.
Investigators have not filed any charges at this time, and the case remains under active review.
