Michael Schutt dies in fatal Dawson County motorcycle crash

Fatal Dawson County motorcycle crash death of Michael Schutt – Obituary

Michael Schutt, 62, of Sheridan, Wyoming, was killed in a motorcycle crash late Sunday night on Interstate 80, east of Cozad, Nebraska.

According to initial reports from the Nebraska State Patrol and Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 11:20 p.m. while Schutt was traveling eastbound. Authorities say poor weather, including heavy rain and strong winds, likely played a role in the motorcyclist losing control.

After crashing, Schutt’s motorcycle was struck by an eastbound semi-truck. He died at the scene from his injuries. The driver of the semi was unharmed.

Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
