Fatal Las Vegas hit-and-run crash death of Orlando Barajas-Florian – Obituary

Orlando Barajas-Florian, 32, passed away on May 10 at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center after being struck in a hit-and-run collision on April 27. The incident occurred near East Flamingo Road and South Mojave Road, where Barajas-Florian was outside or close to a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a 2008 BMW 328i traveling eastbound.

The driver, Luis Fuentes-Ramirez, 30, of Henderson, initially stopped briefly but then fled the scene. He later returned and was taken into custody by police. Fuentes-Ramirez was charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident and is currently out on bail with electronic monitoring. His next court appearance is scheduled for Monday morning.

Barajas-Florian’s death marks the 67th traffic-related fatality within the Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction in 2025. Authorities continue investigating the case.
