Robert Clauss dies in fatal Deer Park car crash

Fatal Deer Park car crash death of Robert Clauss – Obituary

Robert Clauss, a 71-year-old resident of Mount Prospect, lost his life in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday morning in Deer Park, Illinois.

 

The incident took place shortly after 10 a.m. at the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Ferndale Road. When deputies arrived at the scene, both vehicles involved in the crash had sustained major damage, and both drivers were critically injured.

 

Clauss was transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, where he was later declared deceased in the emergency department.

 

An autopsy performed by the Lake County Coroner’s Office on Monday concluded that Clauss died as a result of blunt force trauma sustained in the crash.

 

Authorities have not yet shared information regarding the second driver or the circumstances
