Fatal Temple motorcycle crash death of Steven Sheldon – Obituary

Steven Sheldon, a 33-year-old resident of Killeen, lost his life in a motorcycle accident that occurred early Saturday morning, May 17, along State Highway 36 in Temple, Texas.

Authorities reported that the incident took place around 1:52 a.m., when Sheldon, traveling westbound at high speed, collided with the rear of another vehicle and was thrown over a guardrail. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Rosanne Fisher.

To honor Sheldon’s memory, a memorial ride is planned for May 25. Fellow motorcyclists will gather at the QuikTrip on Stan Schlueter Loop in Killeen, with the ride departing at 12:45 p.m. and heading toward Temple, where a second group will join from West Adams Avenue. The tribute ride will be led by Texas X Riders and supported by local law enforcement for traffic safety.

Organizers describe Sheldon as a cherished member of the riding community, remembered for his warmth, love for the open road, and the strong bonds he formed with fellow bikers. The memorial ride is open to anyone wishing to show support and celebrate Steven’s life in the way he loved most — with unity, passion, and pride.
