Dominique Dingle, a 16-year-old boy from Southeast Washington, D.C., was shot and killed Tuesday night, May 20, in a tragic incident that has sparked a homicide investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department.

 

Police officers responded to a report of gunfire around 9:41 p.m. in the 1000 block of 3rd Place SE. Upon arrival, they discovered Dingle lying unresponsive on the sidewalk, with apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency responders from DC Fire and EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

 

As of now, no suspects have been arrested, and authorities have not revealed a possible motive. Investigators are actively working the case, reviewing surveillance footage and gathering evidence.
