Estarling Peralta dies in fatal Norwood shooting

Fatal Norwood shooting death of Estarling Peralta – Obituary

Estarling Peralta, 18, was fatally wounded in a shooting that occurred just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday along East Gun Hill Road in the Norwood neighborhood of the Bronx.

Authorities say Peralta was shot in the head at 266 East Gun Hill Road. Emergency responders transported him to SBH Health System in critical condition, but he died from his injuries Thursday morning.

The NYPD is continuing to investigate what led to the shooting. It remains unclear whether Peralta and the shooter were acquainted. No suspects have been arrested at this time.

Peralta’s family returned to the scene of the incident early Thursday as police continued to gather evidence.
