Fatal Richmond County shooting death of Jaquavious Watkins – Obituary

Jaquavious Watkins, 26, has been identified as the individual killed in a shooting that occurred Tuesday evening on Lumpkin Road in Richmond County, Georgia.

Deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 2500 block of Lumpkin Road, where they found Watkins suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Emergency personnel transported him to Wellstar/MCG, but he was pronounced dead at 8:20 p.m.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine further details surrounding his death. Authorities have launched a homicide investigation, and updates will follow as new information becomes available.
