Joshua King, a 34-year-old Memphis man who had been reported missing, was discovered dead in McKellar Lake, according to Memphis Police. Officers responded to a call about a suspicious person on May 19 and found King lying face down in the water.

King had been missing since May 17, when his family reported that he left home and hadn’t been seen or heard from since. Authorities have not yet determined whether foul play was involved, and the case is currently being treated as a death investigation.

His death marks the second such case at McKellar Lake within a week. A few days prior, the body of another missing person, RC Alexander, was found in the same general area. In Alexander’s case, police said a suspect confessed to the killing and to dumping the body in the lake.

The investigation into King’s death is ongoing, and no additional details have been released at this time.
