Katana Perry dies in fatal Wake Forest wrong-way crash

Fatal Wake Forest wrong-way crash death of Katana Perry – Obituary

Katana Perry, 24, lost her life in a tragic wrong-way collision on Capital Boulevard near Star Road late Tuesday night. Perry was a passenger in one of the vehicles struck by 74-year-old Willie Gene Coleman, who was driving the wrong way on the highway.

 

The accident occurred around 11 p.m. when Coleman collided with two other cars while heading in the opposite direction on Capital Boulevard. One of the drivers hit was 36-year-old Barrett Carter, who was transported to a hospital and is expected to recover. The other driver involved was 19-year-old Quidasiah Teachey, who sustained minor injuries.

 

Coleman, currently in critical condition at the hospital, faces charges of misdemeanor death by vehicle and driving the wrong way on a dual-lane highway. Authorities do not suspect impairment as a cause of the crash. The investigation remains open, and police are requesting anyone with information to contact the Wake Forest Police Department.
