Fatal Lewiston crash death of Natasha Thoits – Obituary
Natasha Thoits, 28, of Lewiston, was killed early Wednesday morning when a vehicle crashed into a home on Webster Street. According to Lewiston Police, the collision occurred at around 4:17 a.m. at 816 Webster Street when a 2017 BMW slammed into a single-family house.
Emergency crews arriving on scene found multiple individuals trapped inside the vehicle. Thoits, one of the passengers, was pronounced dead after being removed from the wreckage. The driver, 25-year-old Blaze Small, also from Lewiston, sustained minor injuries. Another passenger was injured but is expected to recover after being taken to Central Maine Medical Center.
Authorities say a fourth passenger fled the crash site on foot before officers arrived. Preliminary investigations suggest that both speed and possible impairment played roles in the incident. The crash remains under active investigation by Lewiston’s accident reconstruction unit.
