Sunshine Swalley dies in fatal Big Arm car crash

Fatal Big Arm car crash death of Sunshine Swalley – Obituary

Sunshine Swalley, a 22-year-old woman from Elmo, lost her life in a collision on May 17, 2025, along U.S. Highway 93 North near the Big Arm area. The crash involved two vehicles, one of which was a semi-truck transporting jet fuel.

According to Lake County Sheriff Don Bell, Swalley was identified as the victim of the deadly incident. Her remains were transported to the Montana State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the precise cause of death.

The Montana Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. In addition, the Lake County Coroner’s Office is examining the cause and manner of her passing.
