Fatal Ringgold house fire death of Wiley L. Dicks – Obituary

Authorities in Catoosa County have confirmed that 67-year-old Wiley L. Dicks was discovered deceased inside a residence that caught fire Monday afternoon on Lillian Drive in Ringgold, Georgia.

Emergency crews were dispatched just before 3:00 p.m. and successfully put out a blaze confined to the home’s living room. Once the fire was extinguished, responders located Dicks’ body in the same area of the house.

Officials have not yet determined the cause of death, and the body has been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Medical Examiner for further analysis.

Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances that led to both the fire and Dicks’ death. More information will be released as the investigation progresses.
