Fatal Gilliam County crash death of Adam Hassan Ahmed Haroun – Obituary

Adam Hassan Ahmed Haroun, 47, from Twin Falls, Idaho, lost his life early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 84 near milepost 148 in Gilliam County, Oregon.

According to Oregon State Police, the westbound Freightliner truck and trailer he was driving veered off the road and collided with a bridge pillar before igniting in flames. Haroun was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash caused the highway to be closed for about 11 hours while authorities, including North Gilliam County Fire Department and the Oregon Department of Transportation, conducted their investigation.

Officials have stated that the inquiry is ongoing, and no additional details have been released at this time.
