Fatal Aurora shooting death of James Young – Obituary

James Young, 43, was killed during a shooting that took place last Wednesday evening in a parking lot located at 1155 South Havana Street in Aurora, Colorado. The site, which features a King Soopers grocery store and various other businesses, became the scene of violence when gunfire erupted shortly after 8:30 p.m.

Aurora police reported that the incident left two other individuals injured. A 36-year-old man from Aurora remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. A 46-year-old woman, also from Aurora, was hurt, though no recent information has been released about her condition.

Authorities said the shooting was likely the result of a conflict that escalated in the shopping center’s parking area. Following their investigation, officers arrested two Aurora residents: 24-year-old Hee Dah Weh and 23-year-old Latrayvon Bullard. Both were taken into custody around 5:40 p.m. Monday and face charges of first-degree murder.

The investigation into the events leading up to the shooting is ongoing.
