Jeffrey W. Day, a 44-year-old resident of Batavia in Genesee County, passed away early Tuesday morning at Strong Memorial Hospital following a rollover accident that occurred the previous night in Riga.

According to Monroe County sheriff’s deputies, Day was the only occupant of an SUV traveling west on Chili Riga Center Road when it veered out of its lane, collided with a utility pole and a large rock, and overturned. He was discovered unresponsive and not breathing at the crash site.
