Fatal Northbridge shooting death of Jonathan Lacour – Obituary
Jonathan Lacour, 36, was fatally shot Wednesday night in Northbridge in what authorities believe was an accidental discharge by his brother, Christopher Lacour, age 33.
Court records show police responded to a home at 63 Legion Way shortly after 11 p.m., where they discovered Jonathan lying on the floor between the kitchen and living room, suffering from a gunshot wound and covered in blood.
Investigators located a single 9mm shell casing from a Ruger American semi-automatic handgun at the scene. Jonathan was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where he was later declared deceased.
During questioning, Christopher admitted to firing the weapon that struck his brother. He now faces a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and is being held on $10,000 bail following his court appearance.
