Fatal Mount Pleasant crash death of Mackensey Griffiths – Obituary

Authorities have confirmed that 33-year-old Mackensey Griffiths of Mount Pleasant lost his life following a collision involving a semi-truck on Long Point Road. The incident occurred Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Long Point Road and the eastbound exit ramp from I-526.

Griffiths was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina, where he later died due to the severity of his injuries.

The Mount Pleasant Police Department’s Traffic Bureau is continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
