Fatal Lewisburg shooting death of Paresh “Prince” Patel – Obituary
Paresh “Prince” Patel, 34, was tragically killed during an armed robbery at a gas station in Lewisburg, Tennessee, on Tuesday. Authorities identified Patel as the store clerk who was shot multiple times despite complying with the suspect’s demands.
Surveillance footage reviewed by police showed the suspect, David Hamilton, 50, first appearing to make a purchase before suddenly demanding money from Patel at the register. Even after Patel handed over the cash, Hamilton opened fire, fatally wounding him.
Hamilton was arrested the following day at a Pulaski motel and charged with criminal homicide. The community of Marshall County has been deeply shaken by Patel’s death, with many expressing their grief and remembering his kindness and dedication.
A memorial has been set up at the gas station, and a vigil will be held to honor his memory. The store will remain closed until next week as the community mourns this loss.
