Randy Rodriguez Orozco dies in fatal Riverside crash

Randy Rodriguez Orozco dies in fatal Riverside crash

Fatal Riverside crash death of Randy Rodriguez Orozco – Obituary

Randy Rodriguez Orozco, 28, from Perris, lost his life early Wednesday morning in a tragic collision with a pickup truck at an intersection in Riverside.

Authorities from the Riverside Police Department reported that the crash occurred shortly before 5 a.m. at the corner of Indiana Avenue and Fensmuir Street. According to Sgt. Tim Jensen, Orozco was heading west on Indiana Avenue at an undetermined speed when a Toyota pickup truck attempted a left-hand turn from southbound Fensmuir onto Indiana Avenue. The woman behind the wheel of the pickup apparently failed to notice the approaching motorcycle and turned directly into Orozco’s path.

The motorcycle struck the front of the truck, throwing Orozco onto the pavement. Emergency responders transported him to Riverside Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead within the hour.

The driver of the pickup and her passenger were unharmed and remained at the scene. Authorities interviewed the driver but did not take her into custody.

The Riverside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team continues to investigate the incident and urges anyone with additional information to call 951-826-8723.
