Steven M. Gill dies in fatal Weisenberg Township worksite accident

Fatal Weisenberg Township worksite accident death of Steven M. Gill – Obituary

Steven M. Gill, a 36-year-old man from West Penn Township, lost his life after being struck in the head by multiple tree logs while working in Lehigh County. The incident occurred Wednesday morning on the 3700 block of Spring Road in Weisenberg Township.

According to officials, the accident happened around 8:50 a.m., and Gill was rushed to the emergency room at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest in Allentown. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at 9:49 a.m.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio confirmed that the cause of death was blunt force trauma and ruled it accidental following an autopsy conducted on Thursday.

State police based in Fogelsville are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic workplace incident.
