Fatal Leonardtown car crash death of Timothy Berry – Obituary

Timothy Berry, a 53-year-old resident of Valley Lee, Maryland, died in a motor vehicle accident on the morning of Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in Leonardtown.

St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 7:17 a.m. to the crash at the intersection of Point Lookout Road (MD Route 5) and St. Margarets Drive. Upon arrival, they found a serious collision with one individual trapped inside a vehicle.

Berry was later identified as the deceased at the scene. Preliminary findings suggest that a medical emergency may have contributed to the accident, though the full circumstances remain under investigation.

The crash was one of two fatal incidents that occurred in Southern Maryland that same morning.
