Daniel Lee Hodge dies in fatal Winston-Salem car crash

Fatal Winston-Salem car crash death of Daniel Lee Hodge – Obituary

Daniel Lee Hodge, 79, lost his life in a tragic two-vehicle collision on North Point Boulevard in Winston-Salem on Thursday night. The accident occurred when Hodge was pulling his 2004 Kia out of a driveway and into the eastbound lanes, where it was struck on the driver’s side by a 2007 Honda driven by 21-year-old Jaciel Sandoval Reyes.

Hodge was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. His passenger, 81-year-old Janice Hill Bowman, was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Fortunately, neither Reyes nor his passenger in the Honda sustained any injuries.

Winston-Salem Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. The community mourns the loss of Hodge while hoping for a full recovery for Bowman.
