Danville, IL Man Daniel Kist Arrested in Connection with Stabbing on East Main Street

 

DANVILLE, IL — Daniel Kist, a 41-year-old resident of Danville, was arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred Thursday evening in the 2100 block of East Main Street.

 

According to the Danville Police Department, Kist was taken into custody around 6:15 p.m. after officers responded to a report of a 47-year-old man who had been stabbed. The victim was airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana and is listed in stable condition.

 

Authorities say witness statements and a suspect description helped officers locate Kist approximately nine blocks from the scene. He was transported to the Public Safety Building, where he was questioned by detectives.

 

Kist was booked and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. He is currently being held at the Vermilion County Jail pending a pre-trial hearing.
