David Gardner dies in fatal Bienville Parish car crash

Fatal Bienville Parish car crash death of David Gardner – Obituary

Louisiana State Police are investigating a deadly accident that occurred late Wednesday night, May 21, in Bienville Parish. David Gardner, 32, of Lucky, Louisiana, lost his life after the vehicle he was driving veered off Louisiana Highway 80 and collided with a culvert.

Authorities say the crash took place shortly before 11 p.m. During their initial investigation, troopers discovered that Gardner was not using a seat belt at the time of the accident. They also found that neither of his two passengers had buckled up.

Gardner was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries but was later pronounced dead due to the severity of the trauma. The two passengers sustained moderate injuries and were also taken for medical treatment.

Preliminary findings from State Police suggest that impairment may have contributed to the crash. Toxicology tests have been collected and will be analyzed to determine if substances played a role.

Officials are using this incident as a reminder for drivers to stay alert, avoid driving while impaired or tired, and ensure that all passengers are properly restrained. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
