Fatal Fresno trailer fire death of Kenneth Edie – Obituary
Kenneth Edie, a 52-year-old resident of Fresno, was identified as the victim who died in a trailer fire over the weekend, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
The blaze occurred in the 2200 block of Cornelia Avenue, between McKinley and Clinton avenues. When the Fresno Fire Department arrived, they learned that a man had been living in a trailer situated inside a shop at the rear of the property. Firefighters found the trailer engulfed in flames, with additional nearby structures and vehicles also burning.
Edie’s body was discovered inside the home after crews managed to get the fire under control.
Fire officials noted that response efforts were hindered by a lack of nearby fire hydrants, forcing them to work with limited water. Additionally, bystanders gathering to watch the fire created obstacles for emergency vehicles trying to access the scene.
