New Haven, CT Man William Bell Arrested in New Haven for Assaulting Teenage Girl
NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT — William Bell, a 22-year-old resident of New Haven, was arrested in the city in connection with an alleged assault that took place Friday afternoon on Howard Avenue.
According to the New Haven Police Department, Bell was taken into custody after a caller reported that her teenage daughter had been struck in the head by Bell, who was known to the family. Authorities say Bell arrived at the residence with several other individuals, leading to a confrontation over an unpaid debt that escalated into the alleged assault.
The teenager’s father reportedly chased Bell with a large knife following the incident. No injuries were reported.
Bell was transported to the New Haven Police Department detention facility and is currently facing charges of second-degree breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor. He was held on a $30,000 bond.
