Pressley Reed dies in fatal Central City shooting

Fatal Central City shooting death of Pressley Reed – Obituary

Pressley Reed, 37, was fatally shot on May 13 in Central City, New Orleans, police confirmed.

Officers were dispatched to the corner of 2nd and Clara streets after receiving reports of a man down. Upon arrival, they found Reed suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators determined the shooting stemmed from a physical altercation between Reed and 18-year-old Jernell Brown, who was later identified as the suspect.

On May 23, Brown was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Authorities continue to seek any additional information related to the case and encourage the public to contact homicide detectives or Crimestoppers.
