Roan Mountain, Tennessee Man Hunter Chase Ellison Arrested in Weakley County for Child Exploitation Involving 9-Year-Old
WEAKLEY COUNTY, TENNESSEE — Hunter Chase Ellison, a 23-year-old resident of Roan Mountain, was arrested in Weakley County in connection with a child exploitation case involving a 9-year-old victim.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Ellison was taken into custody on Thursday at his workplace following a joint investigation with the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities report the case began in February after receiving a tip that a 9-year-old had sent child sexual abuse material to an adult male via Snapchat.
Investigators identified Ellison, who was employed at the time as a corrections officer at the Northeast Correctional Complex in Mountain City, as the individual behind the Snapchat account. He is currently facing charges of Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Solicitation of a Minor by Electronic Means.
Ellison was transported to the Johnson County Jail and remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
