Fatal Waco shooting death of Rondal Smith – Obituary

Rondal Smith, 36, was shot and killed in a deadly incident that took place on Hawthorne Drive in Waco, Texas, on Wednesday night. According to the Waco Police Department, officers responded to the 5100 block of Hawthorne Drive at approximately 10:05 p.m. and found Smith deceased at the scene.

In the same shooting, a 16-year-old male was also injured and transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities reported that his injuries were not life-threatening and that his condition was stable.

Police have not made any arrests and are actively searching for suspects involved in the homicide, which marks Waco’s sixth of the year.

Investigators urge anyone with information to contact the Waco Police Department or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers, where a reward of up to $2,000 is possible for information leading to an arrest.
