Rutland, Ohio Man Samuel Hochstetler Arrested in Meigs County for Murder

 

MEIGS COUNTY, OHIO — Samuel Hochstetler, an 18-year-old resident of Rutland, entered a not guilty plea Friday after being indicted for the March murder of his neighbor, 28-year-old Rosanna Kinsinger.

 

According to the Meigs County Sheriff’s Department, Hochstetler was taken into custody on May 5. The indictment includes aggravated murder, rape, kidnapping, and strangulation charges. Authorities stated the crime involved sexual motivation, which carries mandatory life sentencing without parole if convicted.

 

Kinsinger was found dead at her home in March by a neighbor. The investigation led to Hochstetler, who lived across the road from the victim. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for June 27. Hochstetler remains held in Noble County detention center with bond set at $1 million.
