Salem, Oregon Women Julia Dell Yepez and Alexa Montano Corral Arrested in Corvallis for Attempted Murder After Dating App Setup
CORVALLIS, OREGON — Julia Dell Yepez, a 20-year-old resident of Salem, was arrested in Corvallis in connection with the attempted murder of a man she allegedly lured through a dating app alongside another woman.
According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, Dell Yepez was taken into custody on Monday, May 20, following a shooting that occurred around 5:30 a.m. on May 17 near Oregon Route 99W. Authorities say Dell Yepez and 20-year-old Alexa Montano Corral used the Chispa dating app to meet the victim, who was later shot inside a vehicle.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies report that Dell Yepez fled the scene with Montano Corral, who was later arrested on May 22.
Dell Yepez was transported to a detention facility and is currently facing charges of attempted murder, first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, reckless endangering, and second-degree kidnapping. Montano Corral faces related conspiracy charges.
