San Antonio, TX Man Anthony Alan Burdette Arrested in San Antonio for Fatal Stabbing of Homeless Man

 

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — Anthony Alan Burdette, a 44-year-old resident of San Antonio, was arrested on the city’s Northwest Side in connection with the fatal stabbing of another homeless man.

 

According to the San Antonio Police Department, Burdette was taken into custody on Thursday following an incident that occurred on March 23 around 11 p.m. Authorities say an argument broke out between two homeless men after the victim accused Burdette of sexually assaulting his girlfriend. During the confrontation, Burdette allegedly stabbed the 50-year-old victim in the chest, claiming he felt his life was in danger.

 

The victim was transported to a hospital but later died from his injuries. Burdette fled the scene but was apprehended nearby.

 

Burdette was transported to the Bexar County Adult Detention Center and is currently facing a murder charge.
