SLIDELL, LOUISIANA — Connie Weeden, a 59-year-old resident of Slidell, was arrested in St. Tammany Parish in connection with the recent escape of multiple inmates from the Orleans Justice Center in New Orleans.

According to the Louisiana State Police, Weeden was taken into custody on Thursday after investigators determined she had been in contact with Jermaine Donald, one of the escapees, both before and after the May 16 jailbreak. Authorities say Weeden allegedly sent Donald money via a phone app following the escape.
